Mengjia Yan is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her PhD degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Her research interest lies in the areas of computer architecture and hardware security, with a focus on side channel attacks and defenses. Mengjia received the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) Award, ACM SIGARCH/IEEE CS TCCA Outstanding Dissertation Award Honorable Mention, the David J. Kuck Outstanding PhD Thesis Award in Computer Science at UIUC, multiple MICRO TopPicks in Computer Architecture and a MICRO best paper award.
